London Casino & Gaming Show - presented by EAG Expo 2026 13 – 15 January 2026

Gambling consultant David Lucas is set to chair a session lasting up to one hour on ‘Working with Licensing Authorities’ during EAG Expo 2026 incorporating Social Immersive Entertainment Expo and London Casino & Gaming Show, at excel London from January 13–15.

A specialist in gambling, alcohol and entertainment, Lucas’ organisation, Best Bar None, provides training to licensing authorities on all aspects of licensing and gambling. He has had input into the licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 and is the author of a number of specialised works on the subject.

The session will take place on Wednesday, January 14 at midday. It will take the form of a practical session with three members of the panel – to be announced – under Lucas’ chairmanship. It was confirmed this week by the EAG organisers that the panellists would represent trade association Bacta, the industry and a licensing authority. The session will cover three topics, applications, local risk assessments and inspections of premises.

EAG chairman Nick Harding commented: “There are few subjects as vital to gambling operators than licensing and no-one better qualitied to explain its complexities than David Lucas. It should be a very well-attended event.” The seminar programme will also feature a session led by the European Gaming and Amusement Association Federation, Euromat, entitled Unregulated & Unchecked: Illegal Gambling’s Grip on the European Market.
