Casino Life interviews Ms. Josephine Lee, COO, Greater China, of RX (Reed Exhibitions) about Global Gaming Expo Asia 2024. By Peter White
The world’s largest casino will play host to one of the premier casino-industry trade show May 7 through 9. It’s a 15-year cooperative venture between the American Gaming Association, Reed Exhibitions and the gaming powers of the Far East.
Casino Life Publisher Peter White spoke with Reed’s COO for greater China, Josephine Lee, in advance of the expo. Their conversation has been lightly edited for clarity.
How was G2E 2024 and what were among the high points of the show?
G2E Asia 2024 celebrated its 15th anniversary, welcoming 6,319 industry professionals from across 76 countries and regions. Highlights included the anniversary reception, the relaunch of the Technology Zone & Tech Talk stage, and keynote addresses by Bill Miller, CEO of the American Gaming Association, and by Alejandro H. Tengco, chairman of Pagcor.
What’s new for G2E Asia 2025 from an exhibitor standpoint?
The G2E Asia & Asian IR Expo 2025 exhibition is expanding by 50 percent, showcasing more than 150 exhibiting companies across more than 30,000 square meters. Exhibitors will span the full spectrum of the travel and entertainment industry, with several unveiling their latest innovations in Asia at the event for the first time. Were there any added new features or attractions for visitors this year?
To enhance the experience for attendees, the newly introduced Gaming Innovation Forum will feature three days of expert-led sessions, focused on the industry’s most relevant topics.
Yours is the longest running and most established gaming industry exhibition in Asia. However, recent years have seen ever-increasing number of exhibitions, conferences and awards in the region. What has been the organization’s approach to competition?
