April 2024: A Geordie construction worker cemented himself as a jackpot winner after turning a lucky £1 bet into almost £20,000 on a visit to Grosvenor Casino Newcastle.
The mystery man and Newcastle local, who has chosen to remain anonymous, placed a £1 bet in the Blackjack side bet game, Ace King Progressive. Shortly after going head-to-head with the dealer, the winner was left in disbelief after discovering that he’d nailed the jackpot, winning £19,400.
To win from a £1 chip, both the player and dealer must draw a Blackjack match by both holding the Ace and King of the same suit.
