Clarion Gaming has opened applications at https://www.icegaming.com/features/sustainable-gambling-zone to become its next Sustainable Gambling Charity Partner, inviting organisations from across the world to nominate themselves for the partnership that will run across its 2025/2026 live events.
The successful applicant will become an integral part of the industry conversation at ICE Barcelona, iGB Affiliate Barcelona, and iGB L!VE London, in the process gaining a global platform to promote its program and drive awareness of its safer gambling initiatives across the entire gaming ecosystem.
Now entering its fourth year, the Clarion Gaming programme is a cornerstone of its responsible gambling agenda. The initiative builds on the success of the Sustainable Gambling Zone – previously the Consumer Protection Zone – which made its debut at ICE 2018 and has grown to become a must-visit show feature for operators, regulators, and safer gambling advocates.
Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director for ICE Barcelona and the executive leading Clarion Gaming’s sustainable gambling outreach programme, said the partnership represents a unique opportunity for a not-for-profit organisation to connect and engage with an unprecedented number of industry decision-makers.
She stated: “Clarion Gaming was the first event organiser in the gambling space to establish an annual charity partnership and the initiative is central to our commitment to help build a sustainable and socially responsible industry.”
“This partnership will provide the successful charity with a platform to raise awareness, generate funds, and engage with the industry on a truly international stage.”
The chosen charity will become an ICE Ambassador and receive high-profile branding across all three of Clarion Gaming’s flagship live events. It includes coverage in official show guides, on event apps and websites, visibility in the ICE Show Daily, and access to VIP networking functions.
Clarion Gaming will further amplify the charity’s agenda through global b2b media coverage and pre-show campaigns, providing exposure beyond the show floor.
Reflecting on the importance of the initiative Pedro Romero, Chief of SG Partnerships at BetBlocker which was named Sustainable Gambling Charity partner 12-months ago said: "Being named Clarion Gaming’s Sustainable Gambling Charity has been an important milestone for BetBlocker. The recognition has helped raise the organisation’s international profile, opening doors to new collaborations and funding opportunities. Over 2024 and 2025, the collaboration with Clarion has been fantastic in amplifying awareness of our mission to provide free and anonymous gambling-blocking software worldwide.”
He continued: “The visibility we have gained has accelerated our outreach, allowing us to connect with regulators, operators, and researchers across multiple jurisdictions. It has also reinforced BetBlocker’s position as a trusted, innovative charity focused on minimising gambling-related harm. The partnership has not only increased our global reach but also strengthened the collective effort toward a more sustainable and responsible gambling environment.”
Interested organisations are being asked to outline how they would use the partnership to address key sustainable gambling challenges, alongside details of their mission, vision, and impact objectives.
In addition to BetBlocker previous Clarion Gaming Sustainable Gambling Charity Partners comprise YGAM, and the International Center for Responsible Gaming.
