Chinese New Year Celebrations
YouYu- Alongside their regular and VIP menu, YouYu will feature Chinese New Year specials Feb. 10 through Feb. 18, Specials include pig tongue soup (年年好市大利湯) with lotus roots, dried oysters, and angel hair; an angel hair and pig knuckle special (發財就手); steamed king prawns with E Fu noodles in garlic sauce (嘻哈大笑); asparagus with bamboo fungus and crab meat sauce (竹報平安); sand ginger chicken (舂雞報曉); lobster any style (龍馬精神); dried scallops with seasonal vegetables (玉葉金枝); and steamed whole fish (年年有有魚). In addition to their Chinese New Year specials, YouYu will feature several specialty cocktails including the Soju Mojito, Dim Sum Delight, Geisha’s Elixir, Mango Sakerita, Lychee Blossom Fizz, Peking Plum Old Fashioned, Dragon’s Breath Mule and Samurai Sour. Sharable food specials include Sichuan Pork & Vegetable Dumplings, Shanghai Pan Fried Minced Pork & Vegetable Buns, Cantonese Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll, Korean Fried Chicken Wings, and Thai Style Chicken Satay.
Hard Rock Cafe- Tantalize your tastebuds with the Year of the Dragon Burger featuring Sriracha Mayo, sesame onions, hoisin sauce, and cucumber.
The Big Game Specials Sunday, Feb. 11
Hard Rock Cafe- Catch all the action with game day specials including classic nachos, wings, baby back ribs, All-American Sliders, buffalo sliders, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, onion ring towers, and cheese fries. Beverage specials include five bottled beers for $25, and 25 bottled beers for $100. Additionally, guests can upgrade any draft beer to 20 oz for only $1.
Sportsbook- From Monday, Jan. 29 to Sunday, Feb. 11, players who place a bet of $50 or more in person at the Sportsbook will receive a coupon for a free order of wings at Hard Rock Cafe Atlantic City.
Valentine’s Day Specials
Pastry Series: Valentine’s Day Confectionary Roses and Chocolate Boxes- On Saturday, Feb. 10, at noon, Hard Rock Atlantic City’s renowned Executive Pastry Chef, Thaddeus DuBois, will teach a seminar on how to create beautiful confectionary creations. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, Chef DuBois will teach guests how to mold roses out of various mediums like chocolate and marzipan and decorate a take-home sweetheart chocolate box and truffles. Council Oak Steaks & Seafood- Open 5 to 10 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, the resorts signature steakhouse will feature wood-fired specials designed for two including a grilled filet mignon chateaubriand with mushroom ragout and truffle and a crab and lobster with smoked butter and Burre Blanc. Additional specials include west or east coast oysters, persimmon and burrata salad, Josper-roasted salmon and a coffee-encrusted ribeye. The perfect end to a romantic evening, the Saint Valentine’s Grand Torte will feature rich red velvet cake, New York cheesecake, and chocolate mousse topped with red ruby glaze and fresh crushed berries.
Valentine’s Day specialty cocktails will include the Lychee Rose Gin Spritz, a refreshing mix of Empress Gin, rose jam, and lemon and a Chocolate Strawberry Martini, made from Titos, cream, and strawberries, served in a chocolate-rimmed martini glass. Kuro- Kuro will feature a special Valentine’s Day land and sea prix five-course fixe menu for $110 per person which includes a complimentary small bottle of sake or champagne. Menu options include a first course choice of Wagyu gyoza with shoyu broth and pickled onion or Kumamoto oyster with ponzu foam; second course choice of pork belly bao with miso mustard and pickled daikon or tuna tataki with furikake, avocado and radish; third course with choice of chicken lollipops with tobanjan, black sesame or scallion or octopus with yuzu espuma and togarashi potato; forth course with choice of lamb with nori and herb crust, lamb jus and maitake, or scallop with miso risotto, kohlrabi and beets; and a dessert for two the “Pav-Love-A Raspberry” highlighted by lychee hibiscus and meringue.
Additionally, Kuro will feature “The Heart Throb” an expertly crafted mix of Tito’s vodka, Dolin Blanc vermouth, and made-in-house lemon strawberry syrup. Kuro is open Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. Reservations are encouraged and can be made at www.hardrockhotelatlanticcity.com.
Lobby Bar- Known as the heart of the action at Hard Rock Atlantic City, Lobby Bar is the perfect spot to catch up with loved ones on Valentine’s Day. Specialty cocktails will include a Chocolate Raspberry Martini made from raspberry vodka, dark crème de cocoa, cream and Tia Maria and a decadent Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini featuring cherry vodka, Baileys and grenadine expertly served in a chocolate-drizzled martini glass.
