5 Highlights from Last Year's WSOP, as We Move Further into WSOP 2021

If you want to know some of the top highlights from the WSOP then you have come to the right place. Here you can find out some of the top moves that were made while also being able to find out which players came out on top.

Daniel Negaunu Rages

New streamer, known as DNegs, seemed to be out of touch when it comes to his previous alias, which is KidPoker. Now he has to hire someone to set up his stream for him while he plays in the WSOP events. He got disconnected during his single raise pot. This is something that is incredibly annoying for those who play poker but at the end of the day, it does happen from time to time.

This is especially the case for those who have very poor internet connections. That being said, good old Daniel seemed to take it all within his stride. He threw his laptop and he started to scream into his webcam, in front of all of his fans. The website  https://ggpoker.co.uk is hosting the extensive 2021 online super circuit later in the year so it will be interesting to see how things play out then.

Ryan DePaulo Wins

If you have ever made excuses for yourself not putting out a great performance because you have a poor computer setup then it’s safe to say that you can’t really say that anymore. This young YouTuber actually managed to win a bracelet even though he spent most of his time camping out at a parking lot. There are state laws in the USA where you can play the WSOP and this pro had to travel all of the way to New Jersey. He decided to make the most out of it though, as he screamed in his car at 7am, shouting “I am a legend” over and over again. He came out with $160,000 so you can’t blame him at all.

Juha Helppi Wins his Second

If you thought that old hands were dead when it comes to modern poker, then this couldn’t be further from the truth. This player managed to put the wizards to work and he also managed to beat out Stephen Chidwick and Issac Haxton as well. There isn’t any footage of this but at the end of the day, he won a few hundred thousand quite easily.

For the Ladies

The days of women not being able to compete on the same level as the guys is now truly over. Both Melika Razavi and Kristen Bicknell managed to come out with bracelets and two other female professionals also managed to take down titles too. Kirsten managed to claim her third bracelet and she managed to beat out a lot of the pros as well, which was fantastic to see.

Fedor Holz Came Away with the Win

This event pulled the elite players from the woodwork. Fedor, who retired at one point, popped up in Austria and he tried to best the field. He came out winning one-hundred thousand and he managed to claim his second bracelet. His efforts were admirable to say the least and it is safe to say that he has come so far in his time as a player. Only time will tell if he is going to go back into retirement or if he thinks that he has a future in poker once more, but either way, it looks like there is certainly going to be a lot of positive movement in the poker industry and this is going to have a huge impact on the game as we know it.

If this year’s tournament is anything like last year’s, then we are bound to see tantrums, rages, tears anf joy, hot tamales and cool cucumbers, with more than a little edge of the seat moments thrown in for good measure.

Enjoy!
