The casino at Sun International’s luxury beach resort, Wild Coast Sun, a favourite destination for punters from KwaZulu-Natal and neighbouring Eastern Cape, paid out more than R67-million last year.
Two millionaires were created, winning R1,3-million and R1,1-milion respectively. “One lucky winner was in our Salon Privé playing on one of our R10 machines called 5 Dragons Gold, an entertaining Aristocrat classic game which is loved by all, with a minimum bet of R500 and maximum of R2 500,” said Ntjie Mothapo, Wild Coast Sun Gaming Technical Manager. The second millionaire was playing the Sun International Wide Area Progressive game called Sunstriker, which has a minimum bet of R5.”
Of the total R67-million won, 59% was in the Salon Privé, 41% in the main casino.
