Sam Trickett - Official UK Poker Championships Ambassador
'I am delighted that the Sky Poker UK Poker Championships are coming to Dusk Till Dawn, the club where it all began for me. This event has been a long time coming and it will be great to have an official championships like other countries do. I will be playing the High Roller, Heads Up and the Main Event, but there are also other championship events if I am unsuccessful in those. Sam Trickett’s poker career is what some would say dreams are made of; His poker years have been well documented from his first comps at Dusk Till Dawn to his 2nd place finish in the WSOP One Drop where he cashed $10MILLION.
Sam started playing poker locally right here at Dusk Till Dawn. He used to frequent the nightly £25 and £50 comps as well as the £1/£2 cash tables. In a matter of half a dozen years he has gone from this to one of the world’s most recognised poker players.
He tops the England all time money list, steamrollered the British Poker Awards for nearly every award going and is a great ambassador for some of Poker’s biggest hitters.
We are extremely happy to have Sam on board having followed his development over the last few years.
Sky Poker UK Poker Championships - £800,000 GTD Festival
In February 2014 Dusk Till Dawn host the inaugural UK Poker Championships, with a £1000 Main Event and 5 x £500 side events across the week long festival. The Main event is guaranteed at £500,000 with the side events guaranteed at a total of £300,000.
Overall Winner
All payout places in the 6 championship events will earn you points towards the overall winner leaderboard.
The overal winner will win a $15,000 Las Vegas package or the Sterling equivelant in Dusk Till Dawn buy ins.
Online Satellites
Players can qualify online via dusktilldawnpoker.com or skypoker.com with feeders starting from as little as £1. Players can qualify online for the £1,000 main event or the £500 side events.
Live Satellites
Mon 17th & Tues 18th Feb we have live satellites at Dusk Till Dawn for the £3,000 High Roller with 5 seats guaranteed in each.
Tue 18th & Wed 19th Feb we have live satellites at Dusk Till Dawn for the £1,000 Main Event with 20 seats guaranteed in each.
Side Events
In addition to the £3,000 High Roller guaranteed at £150,000. There will be 4 x £500 Side events including a PLO Double Chance guaranteed at £25,000, a Six Max 2 day event guaranteed at £100,000, a NL Turbo guaranteed at £25,000 and a heads up event by arrangement.
