GLI Increases Regulator, Supplier and Operator Efficiencies and Cost-Effectiveness at G2E 2013

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Increases Regulator, Supplier and Operator Efficiencies and Cost-Effectiveness at G2E 2013 with GLI S.C.A.L.E.SM and GLiCloudSM

LAS VEGAS (September 18, 2013) – For nearly 25 years, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s leading gaming testing laboratory and technical consultancy, has been the leading company in providing independent testing, inspection and certification services to the global gaming industry.

Part of GLI’s leadership continues to be the creation of new tools for regulators, suppliers and operators that make doing business faster, easier and more cost-efficient. Now in booth #4431 at G2E 2013, GLI is unveiling two new landmark tools: GLI S.C.A.L.E.SM and GLiCloudSM.

“At GLI, we are advancing technology to benefit the complete range of the customers we serve – regulators, suppliers and operators. GLI S.C.A.L.E. and GLiCloud were born out of our incessant desire to make doing business faster, more efficient and more cost-effective, and we are confident the industry will immediately see the benefit these two new pieces of technology bring to daily operations,” said GLI Vice President of Global Services Ian Hughes.

First, the company will unveil its amazing new supplier software tool, GLI S.C.A.L.E.SM. GLI S.C.A.L.E. stands for Simulated Communication Automated Load Engine and is designed to test systems that are being evaluated by GLI for regulatory and operational compliance.

GLI S.C.A.L.E. is intended for load testing of online systems and automated generation of accounting and tilt conditions for end-to-end reconciliation for systems. It is an embedded processor design that responds to SAS polling commands from an online system. Utilizing a proprietary scripting language, GLI engineers are able to simulate activity that would ordinarily require an EGM.

GLI S.C.A.L.E. is connected via a serial cable to the Interface card(s) and controlled via a web browser interface and can currently support 12 Interface cards.

Next, the company will show its new GLiCloudSM. GLiCloud works in concert with the online web portal GLIAccess® and GLI Mobile® to give operators instant access to their entire casino inventory, from anywhere, anytime.

GLiCloud is a modern inventory management and tracking system that makes it easy for operators and regulators everywhere to track the software and hardware that comprises the casino floor. Powered by GLIAccess and easily accessible with GLI Mobile, GLiCloud allows operators and regulators to quickly and instantly check regulatory status of every component on the entire casino floor, all in real time.

GLiCloud relates components to regulatory approval status in real time and simplifies the inventory process by utilizing existing industry standard verification tools and communication protocols. And because the entire process is automated, the data is free from potential human error.
