Electrocoin – Expanding The World Of Play At EAG International

Since the company’s birth in 1976, Electrocoin has been a regular supporter of amusement and gaming expos, including hosting the legendry Park Avenue event at its own London headquarters.

Electrocoin has been present at EAG International since the show’s launch, with its prominent stand being something of a hub for operators and indeed, other exhibitors keen to view Electrocoin’s new games and initiatives for the forthcoming year.

Electrocoin started business as a supplier of early video games and conversions such as Break Free, The Juggler and Acrobat, as well as the refurbishment of pinball tables from Spain. The company’s investment in development and its passion for service quickly secured its position as a leading manufacturer and distributor of amusement and gaming machines within the UK in addition to several overseas markets including Russia, the Czech Republic Spain and Greece.

Today, Electrocoin is a highly regarded supplier of gaming, video, redemption, pinball, skill and novelty games. The company enjoys business partnerships with many of the amusement and gaming industries’ key providers and Electrocoin’s own gaming products are a feature in the portfolios of a number of leading distributors.

Back-up and support is through Electrocoin After Sales based in Cardiff. Business Development Director Kevin Weir explains: “Product support has been a huge factor in our business from day one; it’s almost in our DNA. This is well illustrated by our continued support of 30 year old versions of Bar X as well as being a testament of the game’s enduring appeal.”

Electrocoin’s plans for EAG 2014 are a revealing insight into the company’s resolve to maintain support for the UK sector whilst continuing to seek out new opportunities in overseas markets.

“Few would dispute that recent years have been very tough for this industry but we’ll continue to invest in our development capability for both the UK and other markets. In difficult economic times there is often a temptation to cut back on support. We’re determined that our customers will continue to enjoy the levels of support and advice that have become the hallmark of our business; they are an integral part of the product mix as far as we’re concerned,” confirmed Kevin.

“Visitors to our stand will be able to experience the fruits of our current investment in Category C plus we’ve upped our development and aim to produce a new model every eight weeks.  We will also be introducing new variations on Vegas Strip, our digital Category C AWP launched at this year’s show and now our best seller.

“We’re committed to Category C in all its manifestations and will supply both analogue and digital products, as well as some stunning new community games. Following this year’s Triennial Review, we will have a full complement of £100 games on show,” he revealed.

Visitors to the Electrocoin stand will, of course, be able to see the latest generations of video, prize and skill games including Skill Rocket, Totem and, new for EAG 2014, Target Hunter. Gary Stern will also be present, demonstrating the latest models from Stern Pinball, including the latest release ‘Star Trek’.

Also likely to attract considerable interest will be ELMAC’s Galileo POS system. Electrocoin is in a position to leverage its considerable industry knowledge and experience when presenting Galileo to potential customers. Kevin Weir explained: “Galileo is a totally comprehensive system with features to satisfy even the most demanding of operators. In addition to the normal ticket issue and redemption functions, Galileo offers a VIP card facility, managing the transfer of balances on and off the card. Back office reporting includes inventory control, stock trends and even purchase order creation.”

Also from ELMAC, the Win Bowling Ticket system will be on show. This ingenious niche product is an easy to fit redemption system for bowling lanes, introducing the business building benefits of redemption to the game.

Kevin Weir and the Electrocoin team are busy making final preparations for their appearance at EAG 2014. “ExCel is an impressive venue with great ease of access for visitors. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from both the UK and overseas and to showing what our very latest products could do for their businesses. Everyone will be very welcome,” concluded Kevin.
