Gibraltar, 16th July 2018 – BetVictor, one of Europe’s leading online gaming companies, announces today that one of its customers has won £1,000,000 through the firm’s The Million Pound Bet competition, with a bet at odds of 17,042/1.
The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed the bet ahead of Uruguay’s Round of 16 game vs Portugal on 30th June through BetVictor’s in-house developed #PriceItUp Builder, which gives customers the opportunity to edit and combine thousands of factors to build their own #PriceItUp bet.
The winning bet, which the company priced at 17,042/1, included the BetVictor customer predicting the correct score (2-1 Uruguay), exact number of corners (Uruguay 2 - Portugal 10) and Uruguay to receive no yellow cards inside 90 minutes.

The BetVictor customer subsequently sat at the top of The Million Pound Bet leaderboard for the remainder of the tournament. The customer was close to being toppled by a bet of 19,974/1 on the France vs Belgium semi-final, which was just one corner-kick away from winning.
