Ukraine - tax police clamp down
The tax police are conducting an operation to find gambling centers illegally operating in Ukraine.
“Around 500 mobile groups, involving 1,500 tax police officers, have been formed all over Ukraine to conduct the operation both in the daytime and during the hours of darkness,” the press service of the main tax police department of the State Tax Administration reported on Tuesday.
The press service said that only over the last two days, tax police officers had found 53 cases of illegal gambling business, seized 489 slot machines worth UAH 6.5 million, and drafted 17 administrative protocols.
