2016’s top gambling tournaments

As ever 2016 looks to provide the world’s top gamblers with some truly spectacular tournaments that continue to showcase games of poker, blackjack and roulette as being some of the most gripping activities in the world.

From dazzling poker competitions in some of the world’s most iconic gambling locations, to some seriously impressive online roulette innovations, it looks like 2016 could be a watershed year thanks to these massive gambling tournaments.

One of the world’s most famous poker competitions is currently in full swing in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino as the iconic World Series of Poker continues to draw some of the world’s best players and even some well-known sports stars to its prestigious gaming tables.

Although it’s in its 47th year, the World Series of Poker is showing no signs of slowing down in its ability to draw in thousands of players who come from all over the globe in a bid to win the multi-million dollar prize and claim perhaps the most coveted poker award in existence.

Closer to home it seems that Gibraltar is starting to cement its reputation as one of Europe’s top gambling destinations as it hosts the acclaimed LadyLucks Roulette Masters Tournament.

The last tournament took place earlier this year in April and it managed to create some serious attention through some specific rules applied that helped many online gamers take part in the £10,000 guaranteed prize pool.

However, it’s in Asia where things are really heating up with new stars on the casino scene like Macau and Singapore proving themselves to be evermore willing to host some seriously extravagant gambling competitions.

The Asia Championship of Poker in particular has managed to make some waves in the gambling world, and the Platinum Series continues to draw some of the region’s best poker stars through the summer months with the fourteenth instalment of the series due to add to the excitement at the City of Dreams in Macau from 16 to 24 July.

However there are other Asian cities in the ascendancy with both Seoul and Manila looking to gain a greater amount of attention on the global stage thanks to the Asian Pacific Poker Tour coming to the Korean and Philippines capitals later this summer.

And with a concluding instalment of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour heading to the Crown Melbourne Casino from 6 to 18 October, we can be sure of another fantastic year’s gambling.
